Private Swim Lessons in South Beach's Art Deco Buildings

MARCH 26, 2026·3 MIN READ

South Beach's Art Deco buildings are gorgeous and, pool-wise, a little compact. A lot of the mid-century properties south of 5th were built before rooftop pools became the standard, so residents often share a smaller courtyard pool rather than a sprawling rooftop deck like you'd find further north in the beach corridor.

Smaller pools aren't a limitation for lessons

A compact pool is genuinely fine, and in some ways easier, for baby and early kids' lessons where the whole session happens within arm's reach anyway. It only becomes a factor for older swimmers working on distance or endurance, where we'll sometimes recommend a nearby larger pool instead.

Building access in these older properties is usually simpler too, a doorman or a straightforward buzzer system, without the layers of security some newer towers require.

South Beach lessons run on the same schedule and pricing as the rest of Miami.
